Posh Beef Steak Sandwich and Chips

  • 450g (1Ib) Lean beef rump steak
  • 15mlsp (1tbsp) Oil
  • 1 Small Onion
  • 2x15mlsp (2tbsp) Mayonnaise
  • 5mlsp (1tsp) Black peppercorns, crushed
  • Fresh bread
  • 450g (1lb) Potatoes
  • 15mlsp (1tbsp) Oil
  • 5mlsp (1tsp) Chilli powder
Pre-heat the oven.

Peel the potatoes and cut into chunky chips. Place into a roasting tin with oil and chilli powder and cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden.

Heat the oil in a pan and cook the steak for about 4 mins each side (for medium cook)before adding the onion.

Once the onions are golden brown remove from the pan and mix with the mayonnaise and crushed peppercorns.
Serving Suggestions:
Cut the steak into thick slices and serve on a slice of fresh bread with the onion, pepper mayonnaise and chilli chips.
