Pork and Herby Pies

  • 350g (12oz) Lean minced pork
  • 75g (3oz) Smoked dry cured bacon, finely chopped
  • 4x15mlsp (4tbsp) Fresh mixed herbs: dill, mint, basil and parsley
  • Seasoning
  • 375g Puff pastry
  • Egg and milk glaze
Pre-heat the oven

In a large bowl mix together the minced pork, bacon, mixed herbs and seasoning.

Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut out circles large enough to line greased fairy cake patty tins.

Add balls of the mixture to fill the cases.

Re-roll the pastry and make lids for the pies.

Brush with egg and milk glaze and bake in oven for about 20 minutes until pastry is risen and golden.

Serve hot or cold, snack, picnic or canapé!
